What patients are actually saying
ℹ Reviews shown are for the parent facility (Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre) as a whole. Specific Maternal Fetal Medicine experience may differ.
Garbage parking lot - ended up taking me 20 minutes to find parking as the underground lot was full, outside lot was full, and street across from the facility was full. Was waiting for a procedure in a waiting area that seemed pretty communal... just sat there naked under a gown next to 5 other people which I didn't love. When sitting there I heard one of the nurses call a client that was late, and after she got off the phone she said loudly, "so much for being 30 minutes early!" Unacceptable and unecessary. The actual procedure room was a nightmare. Packages from tools all over the floor, blood splatters, seemed like I was in a storage room rather than a procedure room. I can't imagine it would be entirely sanitary given the circumstances/clutter. The only redeeming quality was the doctor and nurse in the room during my procedure that helped calm me down.
I have to give feedback for the crew that was working today, may 16th, 2026!! I have been coming for q3month labwork for the past 15 years. I've seen the changes they've implemented over the years, some I agree with as effective and some that have been clearly chaotic. The volunteers are a great idea but at times the poor girls are ignored as the entitled and confused and medically unsavvy walk past to interrupt and budge in the registration process and cause delays. There are signs in multiple languages stating the process. But the crew on today is the stellar crew. The mean business. I wish I knew all their names. The girls at the desk are no nonsense, hard working and efficient. They know the lab processes and they are good at the registration and phlebotomy. Even under stress, and believe me some if joe public is stressful, they are gracious and professional. When I see these particular girls doing a hard job that has become a conveyor belt of constant go go go, with little time for physical and mental decompression, I need to take my hat off to them. Over the years they have truly been an asset to fraserhealth, and bc cancer patients in particular. Thank you for taking care of us today ladies, you are wonderful. I also want give kudos to two others of your team but you weren't there today. People that work this hard should be rewards.
I've had many procedures here and every single person that works here is fantastic. They most caring, compassionate and understanding people. I was very anxious but every nurse, doctor, orderly that helped me went above an beyond to reassure me and make me feel safe and cared for. I can't say enough about this incredible facility. We are so lucky to have this place. From support, to care to follow up - everything has been just incredible.
