They DO NOT prioritize you based on the urgency of your medical issue. They do not triage properly. If you are not actively dying and need to call an ambulance, spare 30 minutes to an hour to drive to a different hospital. Atrocious. Friend came in with a legitimate medical emergency (sepsis) and wasn’t seen. She ended up going home after a 6-hour wait and went into septic shock shortly after. Nurses here are rude and curt. Do not comfort you or check on you at all so don’t expect anything like that. If you want MY personal experience, every single hospital I’ve been to in the Lower Mainland has been better. Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital, and Royal Columbian Hospital. Langley Memorial Hospital I’ve been to as well. They don’t even have pillows here. So do not expect anything modicum of comfort; not to mention they don’t have beds, so you’re stuck waiting in a chair, and then in an uncomfortable recliner. Never been the case for me in other hospitals where they actually provide you with beds and CONTINUOUS MONITORING of your vitals. This hospital just blows. I’m sorry, but things need to change. Very sad that this is my local hospital when the care is so poor.

I had extremely painful stomach aches, I threw up and told the staff I have a history of pancreatitis i waited 4 plus hours to not even be full assessed or asked about my condition by any of the nurses. When i asked how long the wait would be they laughed and said hours, i then asked what place i was on the list and they would not give me any information. I understand if the list fluctuates, however any information would be helpful. I then got told that my blood test results would be sent to my family doctor which was later contradicted by another nurse and I had to wait additional time so they could figure it out. I would assume that a hospital would have certain procedures and that the staff would be well versed in this. I am very disappointed in this visit

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Alexis and her team for the outstanding care they provided after my surgery. As I was waking up from anesthesia, they were incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, helping me get dressed, making sure I was comfortable, and preparing me for discharge. Their professionalism, compassion, and reassuring presence made a stressful experience much easier. Even through the effects of anesthesia, I could tell that I was in caring and capable hands. Alexis and her team went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, supported, and well looked after. Thank you all for your exceptional care and kindness. It was greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.
